SUMMARY:Risk Management Online Certificate Program (2026)
DESCRIPTION:Risk Management is a form of planning and decision-making dealing with uncertain events as well as controlling risks before they become a problem. While insurance is commonly associated with risk management\, it is not possible or practical to insure against every situation; hence\, risk management provides additional strategies for dealing with loss.   \nThrough three live virtual sessions\, participants will be able to engage in instructor-led lessons\, question and answer sessions\, and have access to a knowledgeable expert. Upon conclusion of the three-part course\, participants will gain access to the Risk Management Certificate program exam\, a 50-question multiple-choice test that can be taken anytime\, anywhere (system requirements apply). Those who successfully pass the exam (one year from date of purchase) will be awarded a professional certificate.   \nThis course will cover the discipline’s competencies including: \n \n\nFundamentals of Risk Management \nInsurance \nFleet Safety Policies \nFleet Safety Programs \nCrash Management \n\nCourse inclusions: NAFA’s Risk Management e-Guidebook\, Risk Management Study Guide\, (3) 2-hour live sessions\, (1) Online Risk Management Certificate exam\, and a Professional Certificate – upon successful passing of exam (optional)  \n\n \nSpeakers:  \nTim Coxwell\, CAFM\, CPFP\, CEM  \nFleet Management Division Director \nLeon County Sheriff’s Office  \nTim Coxwell\, CAFM\, serves as Fleet Director for the Leon County Sheriff’s Office in Tallahassee\, Florida\, a role he has held since 2013. He oversees a fleet of 593 vehicles and leads a team of six technicians\, fostering collaboration between Fleet Customers and Staff to achieve the agency’s sustainability goals. Tim credits his CAFM certification as a cornerstone in transforming and strengthening his fleet operations.  \n\n \nBeth Cooley\, CAFM \nDirector \nCommonwealth of Virginia Office of Fleet Management  \nDepartment of General Services  \nBeth Cooley CAFM\, Director\, Department of General Services (DGS)\, Office of Fleet Management Services (OFMS).   Beth has over 20 years of fleet management experience\, and her background includes risk management\, contract management\, capital outlay construction and facility leases.
